Blooms are long lasting with rich purple petals and prominent, deep maroon cone centers. A large planting of coneflowers really catches the eye in the cutting garden or at the back of a mixed perennial border. This Echinacea variety is ideal for naturalizing, they will return in greater numbers and with an increased vibrancy year after year. Showy, easy to grow in virtually any soil type and hardy, too. Remove spent flower stems to encourage new blooms. Butterflies and beneficial bees love them, but deer won't come near. Drought tolerant. Zones 3-9.
