Water: Keep soil consistently moist; prefers regular watering and does not tolerate drought
Growth Habit: Tropical perennial with large ornamental leaves and edible underground corms
Additional Notes: Prefers rich, fertile, well-draining soil with plenty of organic matter. Plant in warm conditions after the danger of frost has passed. Corms are typically harvested after 8–12 months when foliage begins to yellow and decline. Protect from cold temperatures and frost.
